Arocs Overview

The new Arocs combines power, robustness and efficiency in a unique way, impressively continuing the tradition of Mercedes-Benz construction-industry vehicles, which stretches back over more than 110 years.

With its high-torque, high-loadability drive configurations you can powerfully master any driving situation. Because the Arocs reliably delivers its high output in heavy-duty applications, too. This is thanks to its robust, solid chassis, suspension and frame design, which is also characterised by its particularly high loadability.

The high efficiency of the Arocs is also a solid basis for your success. Alongside the low consumption of the standard-specification Euro VI engines, the extended service life of many of the components, lower repair and maintenance costs plus the impressive ease of body mounting and also a wide product range for virtually all applications in construction transport ensure that the vehicle is highly economical to use. In short: the Arocs can deliver everything that daily working life demands of it. On the construction site. And on the road.

For payload-sensitive haulage:

In the case of the Arocs Loader every possible option to save on the vehicle’s unladen weight was examined and – wherever it made technical sense – systematically deployed. The result: payload-optimised 4 x 2 semitrailer tractors which are amongst the lightest in construction transport. And 8 x 4/4 concrete mixers with a perm. GVW of 32 t, with which – thanks to a particularly low unladen weight of 9250 kg maximum – you can deliver 8 cubic metres of ready-mixed concrete on every journey. That pays off. Right from day one.

For greater resilience:

The Arocs Grounder is designed for extreme applications in harsh conditions. In other words: through a multitude of technical measures it is even more robust and offers particularly high stability and loadability.

All in all, in the Arocs Loader and the Arocs Grounder you have at your disposal two top workers able to enhance efficiency in construction transport. The best way to obtain more information and your own personal vehicle configuration is to speak to your authorised Mercedes-Benz dealer.

CompactSpace cabs: Available with engine tunnels of both 320 mm and 170 mm the CompactSpace M-cabs are characterised by their low roof and minimal overall height, offering maximum flexibility for many mission-specific operations, and ideal for concrete pumps. Along with this, they offer easy access, high levels of interior comfort and excellent visibility, with the option of a fold down occasional bunk where required.

CompactSpace Cab Dimensions:

ClassicSpace cabs: Available as S-, M- and L-Cabs with engine tunnels of 320 mm and 170 mm, plus an L-Cab version with flat floor, the ClassicSpace cabs are characterised by easy access, compact exterior dimensions and excellent visibility. The standard roof height provides an excellent working environment whilst retaining a low overall vehicle height, and allows access to the tightest of spaces.
The ClassicSpace cabs are also our lightest weight cabs, offering the optimum configuration for payload critical applications throughout the construction industry.

The M-Cab version offers large storage lockers behind the seats to give even more flexibility, and there is the option of a fold-down bunk, ideal for operations that may involve long waiting times, or for occasional overnight use.
For more regular use, or for increased comfort, the L-Cab versions offer a choice of full sized beds and increased storage space. Unique to Mercedes-Benz, the flat-floor version offers easy cross-cab access along with a commanding view of the road ahead, whether that's on- or off-road.
As an option, the ClassicSpace L-Cab with 170 mm engine tunnel is also available factory fitted with a second row of seats – ideal for driver training or where a larger crew is required to ride in the vehicle.

StreamSpace cabs: Designed with comfort and economy in mind, the StreamSpace cabs make the most of their aerodynamic shape. Available in two widths – 2500 mm wide with a flat floor, or 2300 mm wide with 320 mm or 170 mm engine tunnel and also available with a flat floor, unique to Mercedes-Benz in a 2300 mm wide package.

Providing the same easy access and layout as the ClassicSpace cabs, the StreamSpace cab also offers a large amount of space – both for living and storage, laid out in a way that is intelligent in design and very usable. The cab offers increased comfort and offering the option of two beds if required along with a wide range of options to make the cab feel like home, making all versions ideal for longer stays away from home, and the larger versions ideal for applications with an on-road bias.

As an option, the StreamSpace cabs with 170 mm engine tunnel or flat floor can also be ordered factory fitted with a second row of seats – ideal for driver training or where a larger crew is required to ride in the vehicle.
